Federation of Community Sporting & Workers Clubs has three accommodation facilities on the east coast of NSW, Australia. FCSWC are affiliated
with around 55 clubs throughout NSW and club members can stay at FCSWC facilities at below-market
rates. The style of accommodation is self-contained with the focus on "affordable, family holidays".
Federation Secretary Bob Broadfoot supplied me with a logo (see top left), site text
(lifted from existing marketing materials) and some photography. I visited each location and took
further pictures. Photography for the web has to be in a specific style... it has to show people what
they are going to get without under or overselling the facilities. Overselling particularly can be
disappointing for the customer. |

Carl Dumbrel approached me to make a small web site for his accounting and financial
services practice in Sydney and the Gold Coast. This site sits in a market with well known brands
like Ernst & Young and KPMG. Have a look
at those sites.
Note the layout. An image running horizontally the width of the screen at the very
top. Horizontal navigation below this. Then a four column approach in the body area and finally
a bottom bar to contain the design. To place Carl's site in that market I followed the same layout
ideas. |

Formerly a section of www.hungryheadstudios.com,
new owners Max & Brenda have given this excellent holiday accommodation business a higher profile
with a site that focuses on the bush and seaside aspect of the property. The wave and seagull suggest
the sea side, while the banksia flower and dam suggest bush. This property is sure to do well in
the self-contain family accommodation market. |

(INACTIVE) This holiday accommodation based in Victoria's Highcountry offers two accommodation options: a
self-contained cabin and guesthouse accommodation in Harrietville. With instant access to the outdoors
and particularly Victoria's alpine area, this web site offers the perfect all-season retreat from
the city. |

This property is listed for holiday rental with LJ Hookers of Bellingen. This basic 2 page web site is designed to attract attention outside the usual holiday
rental marketing offered by real estate agents. This site emails the owner and the agent booking details concurrently. This way the owner has some way of knowing
what kind of leads the agent has received. LJ Hooker report good interest in this property resulting
from the website. |

Gary and Tim first contacted me to do search engine submission work on their site in January 2005.
I knew at that time the site was written poorly and was unlikely to attract much attention from
search engines.
I asked if I could redesign the site in a more search engine friendly way. This mostly
involved quarantining font information to a style sheet. The site also has been refocused on fishing
and wildlife tours and the graphics work improved. |

Kombu Wholefoods opened in Bellingen in September 2004. Since then owners Kevin and Lowanna Doye
have established a vibrant wholefoods grocery with an intimate, family feel. The nice excellent
on this site is the work of Kevin Doye. Ecommerce services are on the way. Kombu uses Microsoft's
Retail Manager. We have written synchronisation software for Retail Manager to interface it to the
Kombu website. |

DWS first made a site for owner Maryanne Murray in 1998. This is the first revision
of that earlier site. The site needed reconstruction for search engines as search technologies have
moved on considerably since the first build. We also added new pictures and revised the text. |

Owner Dugald Anthony had a very specific brief for this site - make it minimal. Plain, clean lines.
Let the photography and fittings stand out. The resulting design (below) is the fifth iteration
as more and more detail and colour were thrown out to make the final result. The photography (supplied
by Dugald) was specifically set up in a retro "polaroid" frame. C~shack offers "a
pop cultured holiday accommodation" experience. The many paintings, posters, textiles and
fittings make up the theme. |

(OWNER EDITOR) Cathy & Ron run a guesthouse with
two styles of accommodation; homestay and self-contained. With expansive grounds and no expense
spared on decor, Bonville Lodge offers guests private, quiet areas for dining, bathing or just reflection.
Aware of established accommodation sites in Coffs
Harbour it was important to Cath & Ron to get the presentation and image just right. |

straight forward site details the Port Maquarie Sub Branch's services and activities. The text is
larger and on plain white to favour older visitors, although the main audience for this site may
well be the adult children of veterans exploring local resources on behalf of their parents. Logo
